Fish vs Beef

All the Fish oils are 15 grams (the standard supplementation dosage for cardiovascular disease1).

Eating fish as compared to other animal products does have its benefits.

  • Many have lowered their blood cholesterol levels once they made the switch from "Steak and Bacon" to fish.

  • Others have used the sound physiology of fish based diet to lower their P/S ratio (Polyunsaturated to Saturated Fat). This one factor only is of major importance when we consider that Heart Disease is the Number One Killer and a high P/S ratio usually accounts for this fact.

  • Fish also has less saturated fat. Saturated fat is high in such products as meat, whole milk, eggs, cheese, and coconut and palm oils.

However, there is not much difference between the cholesterol content of fish and other animal products such as chicken, turkey, or even pork and beef. See chart below.
