JUDGMENT

Blood Behind the Veil: Although the book of Hebrews has been greatly ignored by Christian scholars and laymen alike, it contains some of the most important, basic doctrines in the Bible. Spiritual subjects which are scarcely mentioned by other writers have been fully explained by the author of Hebrews.

The Final Verdict: Christians insist that God rules over all and that He both cares about His creation and intervenes in it to accomplish His will. But the evidence cries out, No! Where was this loving God when millions were being slaughtered in the earthen pits and gas chambers of Nazi Germany? Where is He now while starvation puts an end to the wretched existence of untold thousands of helpless children?

The Forgotten Witness: "Sir, the Chaldeans have just raided your camels and killed their caretakers with…" He wasn't even close to finishing before yet another servant came sprinting into the house. "Master…" he paused, glancing quickly at all the other servants gathered around Job at the table. "Sir, your sons and daughters were in your oldest son's house celebrating a birthday, when a tornado hit the house and it collapsed." He paused and looked down at the floor. "Sir, all your children are dead." Who was responsible and what was the end result?

Pending: Your Case in Court: There is no more dramatic scene in the entire Bible than this courtroom description of Daniel 7. The awful grandeur of the Father's majestic throne and glorified person dominates the sanctuary setting of books and judgment. Myriads of angels are standing by as the witnesses. Then in verse 13, the defense attorney is brought forth to represent those whose records will be examined. Daniel "saw . . . one like the Son of man came . . . to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him." Daniel 7:13.
