Standing on the promises is a Theo-centric approach to the problems of life taking advantage of the power of God's Spirit, His wisdom, and His excellent counsel. No worldly psychology can compete with or be as effective as God's word is to give peace and direct the life!

1. Why should we not fear when others try to help us? Hebrews 13:6.

2. If we follow the Lord in all things, we will never have to be . See Romans 10:11.

3. What will the Lord "shed abroad" in our hearts that will fill our empty spaces? Romans 5:5.

Note: God's love in our hearts will cause an entire new outlook and feeling! A sense of peace, love and well being will pervade our lives. God is waiting to fill the empty places of our heart with His love, but we must let Him!

4. If we have a quarrel with anyone, what is the simple answer to the problem? Colossians 3:13.

Note: Anger and bitterness are like acid that does more harm to the container it's in than anything else! No matter what has happened to us, or what anyone has done to us in the past, we allow their abuse to continue if we are embittered against them. Have pity on those who have done wrong. God will avenge you, but don't poison your own heart with feelings of hate, guilt, bitterness and resentment!

5. Who should be the One we magnify in our lives? Philippians 1:20.

6. When is it that we will not be "ashamed"? Psalm 119:6.

Note: When we follow God's law, we will have a dignity about us, and the guilt will vanish away! Confession and obedience are the remedies for a great many mental ills that afflict mankind!

7. Where can we go with JOY to draw water? Isaiah 12:2-3.

Note: Jesus offers us "living water." If we drink this water, we will always be filled and never spiritually thirst again! See John 7:37 & 38 now.

8. Jesus went to the cross for us. Will His feelings of love and forgiveness for us ever change? Hebrews 13:8.

9. If God did not even withhold giving His own Son to save us, do you think that He would hold back anything from us that is good and for our benefit? Romans 8:32.

Note: Jesus wants to fill us with righteousness! The righteousness of God will dispel all the dark clouds that cause emotional storms to darken our lives! Jesus is the answer for all our wants and needs!

11. Through the "precious promises" God gives us in His Word, what may we be partakers of? 2 Peter 1:3-4.

Note: Imagine being able to partake of God's divine nature! This is God's promise to us! Let's take His outstretched hand and shake it in agreement with God! The offer is out of this world!
