Standing on the promises is a Theo-centric approach to the problems of life taking advantage of the power of God's Spirit, His wisdom, and His excellent counsel. No worldly psychology can compete with or be as effective as God's word is to give peace and direct the life!

1. What has it pleased the Lord to make you? 1 Samuel 12:22.

Note: You belong to the Lord! He made you. He sustains you. He will keep you forever if you come to Him in faith!

Note: The Lord has mercy for you and your circumstances. You need not feel that He has turned away from you. It is we who often turn away from Him. If we have done this, let’s make an about face today!

3. Even if our parents have let us down and forsaken us, what will the Lord do? Psalm 27:10.

Note: The God of heaven we worship, whose name is YAHWEH will take us under His loving, protecting, wings forever if we ask Him to! This is as sure as the word of God is sure! In The father, His Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit, we always have heavenly loved Ones we can talk to, and who will help us feel forsaken no longer!

4. If we seek after the Lord, what will we never be? Psalm 9:10.

5. When we ask Jesus to be our Savior and to forgive us of our sins, we receive His righteousness. Does a righteous person ever have to worry about whether he or she will survive, or whether his or her children will have the necessary things? Psalm 37:25.

Note: The Lord always provides for his people. He has a thousand ways to take care of us that we know nothing about!

6. If we ever come to the Lord, what will NEVER be? John 6:37.

7. Does Jesus give us the assurance that He is with us even to the end of the world? Matthew 28:20.

8. Why should we cast all our cares and anxieties on the Lord instead of carrying them around ourselves? 1 Peter 5:7.

Note: The cross of Calvary shows us how much God cares for you and I. See Jesus hanging on the cross, dying for your sins and mine! "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." See John 3:16. The wages of sin is death. We have all sinned. But when we ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior, then His death on the cross can pay the wages of sin for us, and we will never have to die eternally! If you have never done it before, go to Jesus now! Just ask Him to come into your life and forgive you of your sins! He will come in! See Revelation 3:20 for full assurance of this!

9. If we call upon the Lord when we are in trouble, what four things will He do for us? Psalm 91:15.

13. Sometimes, for a "moment" of time the Lord allows sorrow, and trials to come upon us to try us, and to show us our need for Him. But He promises to give us everlasting , and to have on us. Isaiah 54:8.
