Help For The Worried

Standing on the promises is a Theo-centric approach to the problems of life taking advantage of the power of God’s Spirit, His wisdom, and His excellent counsel. No worldly psychology can compete with or be as effective as God’s word is to give peace and direct the life!

 

1. What should we let RULE in our hearts? Colossians 3:15.

Note: We have a lot to do with the peace we have. We must LET God's peace rule in our heart and not hinder it by unbelief and doubt!

2. What will the Lord supply us with? Philippians 4:19.

3. How shall we keep our worried minds in perfect peace? Isaiah 26:3.

Note: What's your focus? What's your central point? If it is yourself, then you have woe! But if it is the Lord, then you have everlasting joy!

4. Should we worry about tomorrow? What did Jesus say about that? Matthew 6:34.

Note: Jesus said that each day has enough trouble of its own; we don't need to add to it worrying about tomorrow. Many times we worry about that never come to pass anyhow! One day at a time with the Lord is the best remedy for worry! God will not let anything happen to you that He personally does not allow for some GOOD purpose and reason. We know that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE THE LORD! See Romans 8:28.

5. Who is the one who will never need to fear evil or calamity? Proverbs 1:33.

Answer: The one who unto the Lord.

6. Does God promise to pour out His blessings and His Spirit upon our children? Isaiah 44:3.

Answer: .

Note: If you have children and you are worried about their salvation, you can claim this promise in prayer. If you truly believe that the Lord will answer this promise for you, it is yours! See Mark 11:24.

7. If your life seems like it is covered with dark clouds, and that you have strayed from the presence of God, what is the Lord doing right now for you? Ezekiel 34:12.

Answer: He is me out wanting to me from the cloudy and dark place.

Note: The very best thing you can do is let the Good Shepherd find you. Better yet, you run to Him while He looking for you! Now is the best time to be found!

8. If you are looking for a good place to seek protection, to hide from the troubles of this world, where did the psalmist say was the best place to go? Psalm 32:7.

Answer: He said the Lord was His   !

Note: Hide in the Lord and no evil shall befall you. Live life in the Lord and obey his word and you will never have anything to fear! This is sure as shooting!

9. What is the solution if our thoughts seem strange and foreboding? Proverbs 16:3.

Note: If we die in the Lord, we will be resurrected to be with Him for all eternity in perfect peace and happiness! You might want to learn more about the doctrines of the Bible such as the second coming of Jesus, the resurrection, etc. You can request other studies from the same person who is sharing these lessons with you.

11. If we are in tune with the Lord through His word and His church, and especially through His Spirit, what will we hear if we are listening? Isaiah 30:21.

13. If we become "His people" by accepting the plan of salvation and receiving Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, what will happen to our iniquity? Psalm 85:2.

Note: The Lord is willing to wipe the slate clean and forget about all the sins you have committed! The reason He can do this for some is because they have let the death of those whose sins the Father will forget? If you have Jesus as your and Savior you are!

15. Those who forsake the way of sin and their evil thought and return to the Lord can be assured of what blessings? Isaiah 55:7.

Answer: Their sins will be abundantly .
